A roof that resists fire can literally mean the difference between life and death. Gerard® Roofing tiles are tested by global standards agency ASTM International and certified for Class A and B of ASTM E-108 standard for roof coverings.

Class A Tests are applicable to roof coverings that are expected to be effective against severe fire exposure, afford a high degree of fire protection to the roof deck, do not slip from position, and are not expected to present a flying brand hazard, while Class B tests for the same to moderate fire exposure and protection.

Gerard® performs to these standards due to both the material composite of the tile and the unique way in which our roofs are installed.

For added safety, the Gerard® range also includes roof windows that can be used as fire escapes should the worse happen.
